best laid plans

I love making plans.

Big plans.

Little plans.

Intricate plans.

Simple plans.

It makes no difference.

I love them all.

And, my oh my, a beautifully executed plan...well...that is music to my ears.

But, alas,

it seems that, more often than not,

our best laid plans are simply laid to rest...

or, should I say...

revised

altered

tweaked

dismantled

and

delayed...

through no fault of our own.

You see...it would seem that because

we don't live in a vacuum

or

in a universe in which we are,

in fact,

the center of said universe,

we must contend with

people and or events

that reside outside of our control

and

which seem determined

to exasperate us and our plans at every turn.

ARGH!!!!

But alas,

a curious thing happens

(once you pull yourself down from the ceiling and take a breath or two or ten)...

you gain an opportunity to see a new perspective;

one that illuminates the sometimes

big

or

little

or

intricate

or

simple

way in which your

best laid plan

was

made

inconceivably

that much better.

(through no fault of your own).

;))
